The app allows artists of all abilities to animate and create motion graphics on the go on their iPad!  The software is very user-friendly but it offers a powerhouse of options that allow users to seamlessly combine illustration and animation tools. As a graphic designer and illustrator, I have found that it is a great option to add a bit of magic and movement to projects. I created a similar class like this a couple of years ago, but with the update to Affinity Photo 2, I wanted to showcase the process in thew new version of the app on the iPad! I hope you find it helpful, read on to learn more about it! What the class is about In this class, I will walk you through my process on how to create a repeating pattern from traditional art - in my case watercolor work - using the Affinity Photo versions 2 app. I will first walk you through preparing my art work for use in digital formats. We will go over 2 ways of how to get your work onto your iPad. We will walk through how to photograph using your iPad camera then go through tips for scanning your artwork to make it easier to isolate your design elements. We will go into detail on the scanning process keeping in mind artwork size and dpi and go through how to clean up your artwork and how to isolate your design elements. We will also review exploring color variations of your artwork. Then we will begin to build out the repeat pattern using the design elements in affinity photo version 2 iPad app. Finally, we will test and export the final for for use with print on demand sties like spoonflower.
